Kerbed n' Railed

So far, the newly raised kerbstones along School Road have produced exactly the results I'd hoped for. People careening downhill slow to a crawl when vehicles are coming the other way along this stretch, and, as seen in the distance in the top photo, when there are vehicles parked partway onto the pavement by the shops. For now, it means a lot more peace of mind while walking this stretch. I haven't seen any cars mount the kerb - but I half expect that it will happen, and that a short piece of railing at the Blenheim road corner would put an abrupt stop to it.
