Burned Out

The 'mobile' home / social centre parked in the Meteor forecourt has been gutted by fire, and the remains scattered about, sometime over the last few days. That's sad, since it seemed like a pretty stable alternative to the Lych Gate.

The empty auto dealership is also looking forlorn. It seems to have had a break-in, and is in the first stages of neglect+vandalism. Graffiti and a bit of damage visible through the windows.

Where's the initiative to do something with this place?

'Hidden' in Kings Heath?

A fake designer clothes factory thought to be the largest discovered in the West Midlands has been found in a Birmingham suburb. Police discovered the counterfeiting operation in the Kings Heath area after thieves tried to ram-raid the industrial unit on Thursday morning. [via BBC]
A bit peculiar. What buildings of this size exist in Kings Heath? First floor workshops? Not if thieves were ram-raiding it. And what's this about ram-raiding anyway? That's news in-and-of-itself.

As for being the largest operation discovered in the West Midlands, does that mean nobody's been looking? Are there not much larger operations on industrial estates and in decrepit buildings throughout the conurbation?

Some answers here.

A Little Creative Destruction

Garages on Cotton Lane - roof torn off by the tornado, doors and panels torn off by vandals?
